About
Anne Soldaat is a Dutch guitarist, singer and songwriter best known as a core member of Daryll Ann, the indie rock band from Ermelo that put out six studio albums between 1992 and 2004. Alongside Jelle Paulusma, Soldaat was one of the main creative forces in the band, sharing lead vocals and writing duties. When Daryll Ann unexpectedly split in 2004, he went on to work as a band coach for GEM during the recording of their album Escapades, then launched his own project Do The Undo, releasing a debut album in 2007 on Excelsior Recordings. Since going solo under his own name, Soldaat has recorded in Los Angeles with producer Jason Falkner, whose credits include work with Beck and Air. That partnership produced the albums In Another Life and Anne Soldaat, and his third solo record Talks Little, Kills Many followed in 2015. He has also been a regular collaborator with Tim Knol, co writing songs and playing in his band, and teamed up with Yorick van Norden for the Unsung Heroes project, a tribute to overlooked pop musicians combined with original work.
