About Bryan Adams
With somewhere between 75 million and 100 million records sold worldwide, Bryan Adams is one of the most commercially successful acts to ever come out of Canada. He broke through in North America with Cuts Like a Knife in 1983, but it was the 1984 album Reckless that made him a genuine global star, spinning off six charting singles including "Summer of '69", "Run to You", and the chart topping ballad "Heaven". The album was the first by a Canadian artist to go diamond in Canada. The peak of his commercial run came in 1991 with "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", which sat at number one in the UK for 16 consecutive weeks and has sold more than 15 million copies, making it one of the best selling singles ever recorded. His parent album Waking Up the Neighbours went to number one worldwide and also went diamond in Canada. Through the 1990s Adams leaned further into ballads, scoring worldwide hits with "Please Forgive Me", "All for Love" with Rod Stewart and Sting, and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?". He has racked up 20 Juno Awards and a Grammy, and holds a place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
