Detroit's DJ Bone, born Eric Dulan, is one of those artists who built a serious career without ever chasing the spotlight. He launched his label Subject Detroit back in 1998 and kicked off his production work the following year through the legendary Metroplex imprint, debuting with the maxi Riding the Thin Line. His approach to techno draws direct comparisons to Mad Mike in the sense that he has always kept a deliberate distance from the mainstream, staying rooted in the underground even as his reputation as a DJ spread internationally.
