About

Also known as: Femtanyl, Noelle Stockwood, draft, draft.__, lilyniku

Femtanyl are a Toronto based breakcore and digital hardcore duo who went from underground online buzz to over 40 million streams in their first year, which is a pretty wild trajectory for music that sits comfortably in the noisier corners of the internet. Founding member Noelle Stockwood launched the project solo in 2023, drawing on Nine Inch Nails, Throbbing Gristle, the Prodigy, and Drain Gang to build a sound that their collaborator Juno Callender describes as electronic music with an emphasis on physicality, aggression and kinetics. The debut EP Chaser got a glowing write up in Pitchfork, and the follow up EP Reactor featured Danny Brown on a track called M3 n M1n3. Callender, who joined as live drummer before being made an official member in 2025, brought a real kinetic charge to their performances, with the pair selling out shows of over 650 tickets pretty quickly. Their debut album Man Bites Dog pulls in vaporwave, witch house, horrorcore and Death Grips influences alongside their breakcore roots, and critics noted how it reorients the duo within archival internet aesthetics. Their cat mascot Token, usually depicted disfigured or injured, has become a recognisable face across their cover art.
