About
Mikey Shuman, better known as the bassist holding down the low end for Queens of the Stone Age, launched his solo project GLU in 2022 after years of juggling multiple bands. Under that name he has put out three singles, "Cold Sweat", "Night Shift", and "My Demons", the last of which features Sarah Barthel of Phantogram. Those tracks also appear on a five song EP called My Demons. Before GLU took shape, Shuman had already built up a seriously varied resume. He joined Queens of the Stone Age in 2007, in time to contribute bass, vocals, guitar, twelve string guitar, percussion, and Mellotron to...Like Clockwork, the album that took the band to number one on the Billboard 200 and picked up three Grammy nominations. He also plays in the band Mini Mansions, created the score for the 2017 film Feed, and contributed to the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack.
