About
Also known as: James Andrew Arthur, James Andrew Arthur
James Arthur won the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012, and his debut single Impossible, a cover of Shontelle, landed straight at number one on the UK Singles Chart with nearly half a million copies sold in its first week alone, making it the best selling single by any X Factor winner. His self titled debut album followed, and he collaborated with Rymez on the track Kryptonite in 2014. His real breakthrough on a broader international level came in 2016 with Say You Won't Let Go, the lead single from the album Back from the Edge. That track topped charts across the UK, Australia, Sweden and the Netherlands, outperforming even Impossible. In 2018 he scored another hit with Rewrite the Stars, a duet with Anne Marie.
