About
Also known as: Len Faki presents Shit, Levent Faki
Len Faki built his reputation the hard way, starting out in the Stuttgart techno scene in the mid 1990s before founding not one but two labels there, Monoid and Feis, releasing music from heavyweights like Uroš Umek and The Hacker. The real turning point came in 2007 when he dropped "Mekong Delta" and "My Black Sheep", tracks that cemented his name in serious techno circles. He has been a resident DJ at Berghain ever since, which tells you pretty much everything about where he sits in the Berlin techno world. His label Figure, launched in 2003, became the main vehicle for his output and that of collaborators, with releases like the Skulls EP alongside Markus Suckut and a string of records under the LF and JH alias. His mix for Ostgut Ton's Berghain 03 series in 2009 remains a touchstone for anyone trying to understand what dense, uncompromising techno actually sounds like. He also put out a remix of Radio Slave's "Grindhouse" in 2017, showing he still has plenty to say.
