Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band is essentially the solo project of Louisville born, Jeffersonville based musician Ryan Davis, who spent years as a member of State Champion before branching out on his own. After that band wrapped up with their final album in 2018, Davis took his time, picked up new instruments, and eventually put out his debut solo record Dancing on the Edge in 2023 to solid reviews. Beyond his own music, Davis has a hand in shaping the broader scene as the founder of the record label Sophomore Lounge and co founder of the Cropped Out music festival. His follow up album New Threats from the Soul arrived in 2025, showing he has no intention of slowing down.
