Soulidified came together in a genuinely unusual way: the four members, Bradley Rittmann, Shade Jenifer, Malik Heard, and Landon Boyce, found each other on the Netflix competition series Building the Band, where 50 contestants were essentially speed dating their way into groups. By episode three they had clicked, chose the name Soulidified, and went on to place third. Their first time ever being in the same room was a performance of Bruno Mars's "Finesse", which is a wild way to meet your bandmates. Their sound pulls from a deep well of classic RnB and pop, with Boyz II Men, Usher, and Michael Jackson among their cited influences, alongside NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. Speaking of which, their manager is Johnny Wright, the man who guided New Kids on the Block, the Backstreet Boys, and NSYNC, so the industry pedigree behind them is serious. They released their debut single "One & Only" in 2025.
