About

Violet Grohl has been quietly building a reputation since she was twelve, when she stepped onstage at a benefit concert and covered Adele's "When We Were Young" with her father Dave Grohl. NME took notice, pointing out her seriously impressive vocals. That early spotlight turned out to be just the start. She sang "Heart Shaped Box" with Nirvana at a 2020 charity event, contributed backing vocals to the Foo Fighters single "Making a Fire" after being invited to the studio while doing her homework, and appeared on the Foo Fighters track "Show Me How" in 2023, harmonizing with her dad at Glastonbury. At the 2025 Fire Aid benefit concert in Los Angeles, she fronted the reunited Nirvana lineup on "All Apologies", which felt like a real coming of age moment. Her debut album Be Sweet to Me, produced by Justin Raisen and shaped in part by 90s touchstones like the Breeders' Last Splash and the work of PJ Harvey, came out on Republic Records in May 2026.
