About

Also known as: wolf parade - apologies to the queen mary

Wolf Parade have been making gloriously chaotic indie rock out of Montreal since 2003, built around the twin songwriting forces of Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner, whose contrasting styles give the band a restless, unpredictable energy. Their debut full length, Apologies to the Queen Mary, landed on Sub Pop in 2005 with Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse producing, and earned them a Polaris Music Prize nomination. After three albums and a five year break, they came back in 2016 and released Cry Cry Cry in 2017, followed by Thin Mind in 2020, their first record as a three piece after Dante DeCaro's departure. In 2022 they celebrated the twentieth anniversary of Apologies to the Queen Mary by playing it front to back live, with original synth player Hadji Bakara rejoining for the occasion.
