Yot Club is the project of Mississippi born John Ryan Kaiser, who builds his sound somewhere between lo fi bedroom pop, indie rock, and a hint of surf and synth textures. What put him on the map was "YKWIM?", a track from his 2019 EP Bipolar that went viral on TikTok and eventually earned a platinum certification from the RIAA and a Silver from the BPI. Kaiser has described the sound as soaked in nostalgia and a sense of liminality, feelings that sharpened after he relocated from small town Hattiesburg to Nashville in 2021. Since then he has kept a steady pace, releasing the EP Santolina and his debut album off the Grid both in 2022, the latter featuring the single "u dont kno me". A second album, Rufus, followed in 2024, and he has stacked up a long list of collaborative singles with artists like Jordana, spill tab, and vundabar. The project started as a hobby side venture, but the catalog tells a different story at this point.
