Ledeltheater

Ledelplein 17

4501 BM Oostburg

The Ledeltheater is a theater in Oostburg, the town in Zeeuws Vlaanderen, the stretch of Zeeland on the south side of the Westerschelde. It works as a regional stage for touring acts, and the programme leans on music: the local tourism board points to it, together with the Scheldetheater in Terneuzen, as one of the two places in the area that put on many musical performances every year. The seated theater format suits the kind of shows that circulate through it. Touring productions and tribute concerts make up a good part of the picture, such as a Doors tribute that counted its Oostburg date as the seventh stop of a theater tour, and a country and western themed show that scheduled a Saturday evening here in March 2024 as part of a run through small and mid sized Dutch theaters. Celtic music acts have also listed the Ledeltheater among their tour dates, and Dutch language acts such as Pater Moeskroen have shows announced here as well.

About Acting The Maggot

Acting The Maggot are a Dutch folk band with a taste for the Irish tradition, and the name gives the game away immediately. 'Acting the maggot' is a well known Irish expression for foolish or boisterous behaviour, which sets the tone perfectly for what they do on stage.
