Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.
About Lime Garden
Lime Garden describe their own sound as "wonk pop", which tells you a lot: the Brighton band pull from disco, surf, indie pop and post punk in ways that feel genuinely hard to pin down.
