De Duif is a neoclassical church building on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam, designed by architect Theo Molkenboer in 1858 and originally serving as a Catholic hidden church. After years of decline, it was extensively restored in the 1980s and converted into a cultural venue. Today it hosts concerts, lectures, weddings and other events, with Paradiso regularly organizing concerts there. The space is valued for its distinctive acoustics and intimate atmosphere.

Naïssam Jalal is a flutist, singer and composer born in Paris to a Franco Syrian background, with a musical compass that points well beyond any single tradition. She studied Arabic classical music in Cairo, where she played with figures like Abdo Dagher and Fathy Salama.
