About Soen
Formed in Stockholm in 2010 around former Opeth drummer Martin Lopez, Soen quickly carved out a space in progressive metal with a sound that drew inevitable comparisons to Tool. Lopez addressed it head on, calling Tool not just a band but a genre, and simply pointing to the quality of the music.
