Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.
About Sólstafir
Sólstafir started out as an Icelandic black metal band in 1995 and slowly drifted into something far bigger and stranger. Their name means sun beams, which suits a sound that mixes heavy riffs with wide, atmospheric post rock and post metal.
