Three brothers from Buenos Aires who grew up playing Deep Purple and Guns N' Roses covers eventually built one of Argentina's more enduring hard rock acts. Patricio, Gastón, and Guido Sardelli formed Airbag in 1999, signed to Warner Music for their debut, and have since put out eight studio albums while touring across Latin America. They broke from Warner after legal trouble with a former manager, then went independent and kept releasing records on their own terms. Their catalogue spans everything from the stadium rock of Blanco y Negro, recorded in Spain and launched at the Luna Park in Buenos Aires, to collaborations with Los Enanitos Verdes on the record Al Parecer Todo Ha Sido Una Trampa. They have shared stages with Shakira, Alejandro Sanz, and Calle 13, and opened for Muse at the Palermo Hippodrome. Their 2023 upload 'Nunca Lo Olvides' suggests the band is still very much active.
