About
RPWL started out in 1997 as a Pink Floyd cover band in Freising, Germany, and the Pink Floyd DNA never fully left their sound, even as they grew into one of the more distinctive voices in European progressive rock. Their debut, God Has Failed, arrived in 2000 and was warmly received in prog circles, and from there the band steadily carved out their own identity across a string of studio albums. A standout moment came with World Through My Eyes in 2005, which featured ex Genesis and Stiltskin vocalist Ray Wilson on the single "Roses", and even made it onto an SACD hybrid edition. By 2019 they were deep into their own universe with Tales from Outer Space, and 2023 brought Crime Scene, their eighth studio record. They are equally prolific in the live department, with nine live albums to their name, including a full performance of Pink Floyd's The Man and The Journey from 2016 that tips a hat to where it all began.
