AJ Plug (NL)

About

Rooted in traditional blues but shaped by something distinctly personal, AJ Plug is a Dutch singer songwriter from Katwijk whose music sits at the intersection of blues, roots and Americana. Her guitar centred sound tends toward the spare and minimal, letting her voice carry the weight of the songs, and that voice is something: warm and lived in, equally convincing in its softer moments as in its more raw and powerful ones. The themes she returns to, loss, resilience, personal growth, give her writing an emotional honesty that never tips into melodrama. She has built a following both in the Netherlands and beyond, earning a reputation for performances that feel genuinely connected rather than polished for effect. Her appearances on television programmes like Vandaag Inside and sessions like Djammen have brought her music to wider audiences, confirming that her take on blues feels as vital as the tradition it draws from.
