From Aalst in Belgium, The BluesBones have built a reputation that stretches well beyond their home country. Their live album Live On Stage caught attention as far as the United States, which says a lot for a European blues act. The band plays things fairly loose with genre boundaries, folding soul, funk and rock into their blues so the whole thing breathes a bit more than straight traditionalist fare. They are a group that clearly enjoys the physical energy of a live show, and recordings like Live On Stage capture exactly that side of them.
