Aly & Fila (EG)

About

Aly & Fila were the first duo out of Egypt to go international in trance, and they've kept that momentum going for years. Four of their tracks have been voted Tune of the Year on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance: We Control the Sunlight in 2011, Unbreakable with Roger Shah and Susana in 2016, Somebody Loves You with Plumb in 2020, and For All Time with Armin van Buuren and Kazi Jay in 2021. They've played Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland and Global Gathering. Beyond their own releases, they run the Future Sound of Egypt radio show and the label of the same name, which has signed names like Sean Tyas, Roger Shah and The Thrillseekers. Their albums include Rising Sun, Quiet Storm and The Other Shore, packed with collaborators like Solarstone, John O'Callaghan and Giuseppe Ottaviani. These days Fadi handles the touring, since Aly's ear injury means he has to steer clear of loud music, though the two still make records together.
