About
Also known as: Annelotte de Graaf
Amber Arcades is the project of Utrecht singer songwriter Annelotte de Graaf, who recorded her first album in New York on savings she'd built up over years, all while holding down a day job in law. That record, Fading Lines, landed on Heavenly Recordings in 2016 and did especially well with UK reviewers. It also became 3FM's Megahit of the week back home. The follow ups kept coming: the Cannonball EP in 2017, a dreamy single with Bill Ryder Jones called Wouldn't Even Know, and the album European Heartbreak in 2018. Her third album, Barefoot on Diamond Road, was made remotely during the pandemic, with producer Ben Greenberg in Brooklyn, drummer Matt Chamberlain in Los Angeles and de Graaf in Amsterdam. It came out on Fire Records in 2023. She's played Eurosonic Noorderslag, Into The Great Wide Open and Lowlands, and opened for Nada Surf in the States.
