Roger Sellers records and performs under the name Bayonne, and the loop based approach he uses is central to everything he does. He builds tracks by layering intricate loops live on stage, which makes his one man shows genuinely worth catching. Based in Austin, Texas, he put out several records under his own name before relaunching in 2016 as Bayonne with a reissue of Primitives on Mom + Pop Records. His song "Appeals" found a sizeable audience after being featured in FIFA 17, and he has kept a steady output since. Drastic Measures arrived in 2019, followed by Temporary Time in 2023, his third album as Bayonne. That record came with videos for three singles including "Right Thing", which sits comfortably in his dreamy, synth driven sound and shows he has no intention of standing still.
