About
Bart Maessen and Robin Zomer have been friends their whole lives, and that closeness is exactly what shapes their music as the Dutch pop duo BENR. They write honest, Dutch language pop songs drawn from their own shared experiences, covering everything from friendship and bachelorhood to loss and fatherhood. Tracks like Kom Je Me Halen and the number one hit Beetje Gek have earned them regular spots on Dutch radio and TV, viral videos, and a following of over 800,000. After a run of sold out club tours and support slots for Miss Montreal, they stepped into theatre venues for an intimate show format pairing their personal songs with candid stories, humour and emotion. Remco Veldhuis of Veldhuis & Kemper collaborated with them on developing that theatrical show.
