BLACKGOLD are a UK nu metal band with a taste for mystery: every member performs behind a mask, and their identities remain unknown even in the age of social media. Frontman Spookz has explained the thinking behind it, saying the music matters more than the faces making it. That music draws heavily from the golden era of nu metal, taking cues from the sounds of Limp Bizkit, Korn and System of a Down. They have already shared a stage with Limp Bizkit as their support act. The band carry their sense of humour into everything they do, from their self declared slogan 'Your mum's favourite nu metal band' to an EP cheekily titled E.P Phone Home.
