About
Also known as: Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, Bruce Springteen, The Boss, ブルース・スプリングスティーン
Few artists have a nickname as earned as Bruce Springsteen's. Known as The Boss, the New Jersey singer and songwriter has spent more than five decades building a catalog that stretches from the blue collar anthems of Born to Run and the colossal Born in the U.S.A., one of the best selling albums of all time, to the spare acoustic folk of Nebraska and The Ghost of Tom Joad. His backing group, the E Street Band, has been a cornerstone of his sound since 1972, though Springsteen has never been afraid to strip things back and go it alone. The range is genuinely impressive: stadium rock, heartland storytelling, Americana, folk, even a full covers album dedicated to Pete Seeger. Letter to You in 2020 made him the first artist to land a top five album in six consecutive decades. Most recently, he released Streets of Minneapolis in early 2026, a politically charged track that shot to number one on the iTunes Top Songs chart, showing he still has plenty to say.
