About
Bruno Bavota is a Neapolitan composer and multi instrumentalist who moves fluidly between neoclassical, chamber folk, electronic, and ambient music. Early in his career comparisons to Ludovico Einaudi were common, but Bavota has steadily pushed further, distorting and estranging traditional melodies and arrangements rather than simply working within them. Live, he shapes his pieces in real time using an array of effects pedals and processors, sometimes manipulating the sound directly with his bare hands. His album Night Music brings together a collection of deeply personal solo piano pieces, reaching for the stillness, melancholy, and raw beauty of the night. The result is music that sits somewhere between introspection and quiet surrender, intimate in scale but emotionally expansive.
