Chasing Abbey blend electronic production with traditional Irish music in a way that feels genuinely fresh rather than gimmicky. The Tullamore trio of Ronan Bell, Jonathan Byrne and Ted Conway broke through with their debut single "That Good Thing", which topped the Irish iTunes chart, became the most Shazamed song in the country, and landed them a global deal with 3 Beat UK and Universal Music Group. Their 2019 EP The Odyssey Project hit number one on the Irish Music Charts and earned a Billboard write up calling them a "juggernaut trio from Ireland". They kept that momentum going with "Lately" topping the Official Homegrown charts in 2020, and then "Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses)" in 2023 went platinum, spent seven consecutive weeks at number one on the Irish Homegrown chart and racked up over 2.1 million streams in Ireland alone. That run earned them a worldwide deal with Warner Music and Spinnin' Records. Lately they have been releasing lyric videos for Irish language tracks, suggesting new music is on the way.
