About
Also known as: Craig Ashley David, Craig Davis, David Craig, Graig David
Craig David's career kicked off in earnest when his voice showed up on Artful Dodger's 'Re Rewind' in 1999, and from there things moved fast. His debut album Born to Do It sold over 8 million copies worldwide and went multi platinum in more than 20 countries, with 'Fill Me In' topping the UK chart and 'Walking Away' cracking the top three. MTV viewers later voted it the second greatest album of all time, sitting just behind Thriller. His smooth blend of UK garage, R&B and pop soul became his signature sound, one he has kept developing across nine studio albums in total. Along the way he has worked with Sting, Tinchy Stryder, Big Narstie, MNEK and Tiwa Savage, the last of whom features on his 2025 album Commitment, which keeps him very much in the picture as a recording artist.
