About
D Double is one of the more enduring figures in Dutch hip hop, known for a sharp delivery, direct lyricism and a flow that has kept him relevant across multiple eras of the scene. He first built his reputation in the underground as part of the crew DuvelDuvel, then broke through more widely after winning the Next MC competition on BNN. That led to a deal with Rotjoch's label Mucho Dinero, followed by a stint at Top Notch. These days he runs his own label, Bankjes, and releases music on his own terms. His output has featured collaborations with Boef, Ronnie Flex, Kevin and Emms. He is also a member of the collective New Wave, which headlined Lowlands and sold out eight nights at the Ziggo Dome.
