Jonna Fraser, born Jonathan Jeffrey Grando, is a Dutch rapper and singer from Zaandam with Surinamese roots, and his sound covers a lot of ground, ranging from gritty gangsta rap to smoky, soulful grooves. His 2016 album Blessed came in at number one and was named Album of the Week by 3FM, with eleven tracks landing simultaneously in the Single Top 100. He is also part of the rap collective New Wave, which took home the Popprijs in 2015, an award tied to an album that spent over a year in the Album Top 100. His collaborations are a big part of his story. The single Do or Die with Broederliefde hit number ten in the Single Top 100, and Dom Pérignon, a team up with Qlas and Blacka, Henkie T, and Murda, reached number thirteen and won the FunX Music Award for best collaboration in 2020. In 2023 he picked up an Edison for best music video for Drup, recorded alongside Bizzey, Kraantje Pappie, and Ramiks.
