About
De Andersons are a Swedish and Dutch kleinkunst duo made up of Anna and Roel, a pair who sit somewhere between songwriting and theatre. Their best known work is Een mooiere wereld, a show they wrote together with author Sjoerd Kuyper, who is also behind Het Zakmes. Broadcaster Frits Spits called it rare and beautiful, which is the kind of endorsement that sticks. The duo moved to Sweden in 2023 but kept their creative bond with Kuyper alive. When they got back on stage together for a one off evening, with the duo singing and Kuyper reading aloud, the audience reportedly didn't want it to end. That reaction grew into a new show, Perpetuum mobile, built around the idea that art is the only perpetual motion machine that actually works.
