About
Also known as: Frédérique Spigt, Frederique Spigt
Frédérique Spigt works as one half of a duo with guitarist Roel Spanjers, and together they sound far bigger than two people on a stage. Their sets mix her own songs with country, rock, road songs and a healthy dose of Presley numbers, and they have a knack for pulling a room in. Spanjers brings serious road miles to the partnership. He has toured Europe and the US with blues names like Luther Allison and Smokey Wilson, and in the Netherlands he has played with JW Roy and Normaal. Between the two of them there's a running joke about who flatters whom, with Spigt saying playing alongside him makes them Gasoline and Matches.
