Alex Roeka is a Dutch singer from Oss whose music draws on the restless, rootless reality of life on the road. His album Op Drift was inspired by thirty years of constant travel, capturing what it feels like to live out of cars, theatre dressing rooms, hotel rooms and late night petrol stations rather than any fixed place called home. There is a quietly philosophical undercurrent to that premise: movement as a way of staying open to change and adventure, even when it leaves you unmoored.
