Declan Welsh and The Decadent West are a Glasgow indie rock band built around frontman Declan Welsh and bassist Ben Corlett, with a rotating cast of musicians filling out the sound. Their third album, Explicit Agitation, was made with producer Chris Marshall and moves across political tensions as well as more personal territory like love and loss. It follows earlier releases that helped the band earn a serious live reputation, including appearances at Glastonbury and TRNSMT. A 2023 show at Paradiso cemented that reputation further, confirming they are a band that genuinely delivers on stage.
