Kid Kapichi are a punk rock band out of Hastings who caught a serious break when Liam Gallagher heard their song "New England" and personally invited them to open for him at London's Royal Albert Hall in 2022. That kind of co sign speaks to what they do well: scrappy, hook driven British punk with a sharp edge, drawing on the Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, and Queens of the Stone Age while keeping things distinctly their own. AllMusic summed them up as "establishment challenging" with a nod to U.S. alt rock, and frontman Jack Wilson's vocals get compared to both Mike Skinner and Liam Gallagher. Their second album, Here's What You Could Have Won, landed on Spinefarm Records in 2022 and debuted at number 38 on the UK Albums Chart. The third album, There Goes the Neighbourhood, followed in 2024 and features Suggs of Madness as a guest on "Zombie Nation". Recent videos like "Get Down" show the band keeping the momentum going.
