About
Dina Ögon, which translates to "Your Eyes," are a Stockholm quartet whose sound pulls from an almost reckless range of influences: soul, jazz, bossa nova, hip hop, sunshine pop and folk, all tied together with Swedish language lyrics and a hazy, dreamlike warmth. The press has compared them to Khruangbin, Fleetwood Mac and ABBA, which tells you something about how wide their appeal runs. Their single "Tombola 94" caught the ear of Tyler, the Creator, and their second album Oas picked up two Grammis awards in 2024 for Album of the Year and Alternative Pop of the Year. Oas was recorded in a single day at Studio Gagarin, with overdubs done at the band's own rehearsal space, and that loose, live in the room quality shows. The follow up Orion hit number 11 on the Sverigetopplistan, their first ever chart entry. Their fourth album Människobarn, a double record, takes things in a darker direction, with Per Magnusson of Aftonbladet describing it as a "melancholic twilight" that stretches into trip hop and avant pop territory.
