About
For sixteen years Eloi Youssef was the frontman of Dutch band Kensington before stepping away in 2022 to pursue a solo path. His debut release under his own name, the single Unbind, set the tone: a song about getting stuck and finding unexpected freedom on the other side. The melody reportedly came to him in a dream, fully formed. After a sold out theatre tour alongside Kamerata Zuid and the Nederlands Kamerkoor, Youssef stripped things back even further. His acoustic solo shows are built around the idea that almost every song he has ever written started with one guitar on the sofa at home. These performances honour those earliest versions, before the studio or a full band ever got involved.
