Erika Vikman built her name the old fashioned Finnish way, winning the Tangomarkkinat competition in 2016 and being crowned Tango Queen of Finland. But the singer from Tampere turned out to have far broader ambitions than the tango circuit. Her 2020 single "Cicciolina", a cheeky electropop track written about Hungarian Italian pornographic actress Ilona Staller, became her breakthrough into the mainstream, landing in the Finnish top five and turning heads across the country. From there things moved quickly. The follow up "Syntisten pöytä" hit number one on Finnish radio, and her debut self titled album topped the Finnish charts when it dropped in 2021. She also competed in the first season of Masked Singer Suomi, performing as The Wasp. In 2025 she represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Ich komme", qualifying from the semi final and finishing eleventh in the grand final with 196 points.
