About
Founded in 1969 in Apeldoorn, Flavium is one of the longest running blues acts in the Netherlands, with a discography that spans a debut album called Bad Luck, twelve further LPs, four CDs and several singles. Among those, the tracks Nightlife and Nobody knows you when you're down and out became their best known hits. Over the decades the band built a serious live reputation through appearances at the North Sea Jazz Festival, Ribs and Blues, BluesPeer and Culemborg Blues, as well as tours through Germany, Belgium, England and Ireland. They have shared stages with BB King, Rory Gallagher and Champion Jack Dupree. In 2015 the Dutch Blues Foundation inducted them into the Dutch Blues Hall of Fame. The current lineup brings together Bert Vrieling on vocals, Erwin van Ligten on guitar, Frank Montis on Hammond organ, Bouke van Olst on drums and Eric Bagchus on bass.
