Out of Breda, Funkerman has been shaping Dutch house music since the early 2000s, building a reputation as a DJ, producer and remixer with serious range. His 2006 track "Speed Up" is the one that really broke things open internationally, landing him a deal with UK label Defected Records and even finding its way onto the Xbox 360 karaoke game Lips. He runs Flamingo Recordings alongside Raf Jansen and Fedde Le Grand, and the two of them have teamed up repeatedly over the years, scoring Dutch chart hits under the "F to the F" alias and collaborating on tracks like "3 Minutes to Explain". His remix credits stretch from Kaskade and Moby to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and his 2015 collab with Hardwell featuring I Fan appeared on Hardwell's debut album United We Are.
