Get Well Soon is the project of German singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist Konstantin Gropper, and it's a project that takes its time. His debut album, Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon, was three years in the making before landing in 2008 on City Slang, charting in Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland. The same year, Gropper contributed exclusive tracks to the Wim Wenders film Palermo Shooting, alongside Portishead and Nick Cave. Lyrically, the project leans philosophical and a touch cynical, with song titles like Witches! Witches! Rest Now In The Fire signalling the mood. Gropper followed up with Vexations in 2010, recorded with a full band and peaking at number 11 in the German charts. He also wrote the score for the first season of the French TV series Xanadu, broadcast on ARTE. Since then he has kept building the catalogue steadily, releasing The Scarlet Beast O'Seven Heads, Love, The Horror, and Amen, plus an orchestral reworking of Vexations titled Vexations 16.
