About

Brussels indie rock outfit Ghinzu built their reputation the hard way, grinding through European venues until their second album Blow turned them into a genuine cross border act. Released in 2004, it shifted around 100,000 copies across Europe, sent the single "Do You Read Me?" up the French charts, and landed them a sold out night at the legendary Olympia in Paris. Iggy Pop caught one of their festival sets and was reportedly impressed enough to say so out loud. Their song "The Dragster Wave" also ended up in the trailer and closing credits of the 2008 thriller Taken, which brought them a whole new audience. Their third record, Mirror Mirror, pushed into more operatic rock territory, recorded in a Brussels office building and mixed in London by Nick Terry, known for his work with Klaxons and the Libertines. The band toured alongside Placebo, headlined Le Zénith in Paris, and played Forest National back home. After a long gap, a fourth album called W.O.W.A. arrived in May 2026, preceded by the singles "Out of Control", "Snow White" and "Forever".
