About
Goldie Boutilier has had one of the more winding paths in recent pop history. The Canadian singer, songwriter and DJ first broke through as Kay on Interscope Records after being spotted by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, racking up collaborations with Tiësto and Steve Aoki before label tensions forced her out. She reinvented herself as Goldilox, moved to Paris, started DJing, and channelled a love of Studio 54 era disco into her 2018 album Very Best, a record she described as wanting to capture the energy of Bianca Jagger riding into a club on a white horse. Since reclaiming her own name, Boutilier has been steadily releasing music on her own terms. The EPs Cowboy Gangster Politician, Emerald Year and The Actress arrived between 2022 and 2024, each building on a sound that now draws from real instruments and a more timeless songwriting approach. Her third album, Goldie Boutilier Presents... Goldie Montana, is set for 2025, preceded by singles including King of Possibilities and Goldie Montana. Alongside the music, she has built a serious modeling career, appearing in campaigns for brands like Diesel Black Gold, H and M, and John Galliano.
