About
Out of Mühldorf am Inn in southern Germany, Groza have built a reputation for atmospheric black metal that sits somewhere between suffocating density and genuine melody. Signed to AOP Records, they put out their debut Unified in Void in 2018 and followed it up with The Redemptive End in 2021, both of which drew serious attention from the metal press across multiple countries. Their third record, Nadir, arrived in 2024 and pulled in an even wider spread of reviews, suggesting the band's reach keeps growing. The road has not been without loss: bassist M.S. passed away in 2023 after a long illness. Groza pressed on, and 2025 saw the release of Live at Ragnarök, a live album that documents where the band stands as a live act.
