Hang Youth have spent the better part of a decade filling big stages across the Netherlands and Belgium with a sound that mixes punk anthems with genuine emotional gut punches. The Amsterdam group has a knack for channelling political frustration into something cathartic, with songs like 'HET KAN ME NIET LINKS GENOEG' making their allegiances pretty clear. At some point they made the unexpected decision to expand by teaming up with Het Wilde Wat, a forty strong choir, turning their already charged live shows into something much larger. The combination sounds like it shouldn't work, but their celebrated performance at Pinkpop suggested otherwise.
