Hohnen Ford

About

Hohnen Ford is a North London singer songwriter who studied jazz vocals at the Royal Academy of Music, and that background shows. Her sound pulls together jazz, folk, soul and classical songwriting traditions into something layered and distinctly her own, built on emotionally charged lyrics, rich harmonies and a vocal presence that really carries the room. Her debut EP 'I Wish I Had A God' caught the attention of the international music industry early on. She has since signed to Giant Music and released 'A Lot To Give', a duet with British singer songwriter Birdy that explores themes of growth, identity and female resilience. It's a good example of the introspective, atmospheric songwriting she's become known for. She has toured alongside Wasia Project and Orla Gartland, building a live reputation that matches what she does on record.
