About
Also known as: I-f
One track pretty much put I f on the map: the 1997 electro banger "Space Invaders Are Smoking Grass", a vocoder soaked, Atari era romp that wove old school verse chorus structures into burbling electro and ended up being widely credited as the record that catalysed the entire electroclash movement. Ferenc van der Sluijs, the Den Haag producer and DJ behind the name, followed it up with the albums Fucking Consumer and The Man From Pack on Disko B, cementing a sound that sits somewhere between electro, acid house, and IDM. His 1999 mix album Mixed Up In the Hague Vol. 1 is another landmark, cited by producers like Morgan Geist as reigniting mainstream curiosity in Italo disco. He runs both the Viewlexx record label and Intergalactic FM, the internet radio platform that absorbed his earlier Cybernetic Broadcasting System station. He also recorded under the alias The Parallax Corporation alongside Intergalactic Gary.
