Manchester's Ingested have been one of the UK's most relentless forces in brutal death metal and deathcore since forming in 2006. Over more than fifteen years they built a serious catalogue, from their debut Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering through to The Tide of Death and Fractured Dreams in 2024, signing to labels like Century Media and Unique Leader Records along the way. They headlined their own US tours, hit the Summer Slaughter Tour, and shared stages with Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy and The Black Dahlia Murder, cementing a reputation well beyond their home turf. Things got turbulent behind the scenes heading into 2026. Founding vocalist Jason Evans parted ways with the band in late 2024, his replacement Josh Davies then departed just weeks after being announced as the singer on the eighth studio album Denigration. In an unexpected move, guitarists Sean Hynes and Andrew Virrueta stepped up to re record all the vocals themselves for both the digital and physical release. The band pressed on, continuing to search for a permanent frontman.
